check sharepoint column against array variable

Hello, 

I am trying to getItems From sharepointlist. However, in the filter query I would like to check a column against an array variable (containing strings) to get me only the rows items in sharepoint that are matching. Is there an expression that can do this?  Thanks

Could you share the type of column and the details of the variable?

Please provide more details about your needs so that we could provide you with the right workaround.

Basically, if we want to determine whether the column value is included in the array variable, we need to use contains, it may need to use Filter array instead of Filter Query.

This needs to be based on your actual needs and look forward to your reply.

The column is of type string in sharepoint list. 

The variable is of type Array in Flow.

Column Name: Field1

Array Name: ArrayVar1

I thought about Contains as a solution too, but just din't know how to get the right syntax to filter the sharepoint list.

I am extracting a sharepoint list via the GetItems. At this point, I would like to get from the sharepoint list only items where the column: Field1 is in ArrayVar1.

Hi @prasadvenkat 

There's not an expression that will directly rip out all of the array items into something which can be used in the Get Items filter, however you can build the filter query. What I have done in my example, is declare an array of strings with two entries from my list (there are four in the list).

I have then created a string variable which is what will be my filter query.

I then have to loop through the entries in my array and start to build the filter query. I have included a condition within the loop to check to see if the Filter query variable is empty or not:

length(variables('Filter query'))

If it is empty, then I set the Filter Quey to be: (Title eq 'ARRAY ITEM')

If it's not empty, then I use the Append to String Variable action to add: or (Title eq 'ARRAY ITEM')

This results in the query being built as:

(Title eq 'Test 2') or (Title eq 'Test 4)

When I then use the Get Items action, I've put the variable "Filter Query" in as the filter, so then it only returns the items that match entries in my array.

Hi @prasadvenkat ,

If you want to filter the items whose specified field values are the value of the element contained in the specified array, Filter Query does not work.

You could use Filter array, which is based on the Value obtained by Get items, which is similar to Filter Query.
