Flow sending duplicate of same email

Hi there . I send a weekly flow to 16 people on a reoccurrence trigger . Today it sent the same email 16 times to the same people. Getting grief from the team. Any idea why this would occur ?

I figured it out ! 100% self inflicted. I have no idea why but I had an “apply to all” step prior to the email step. It generated all of the duplicated emails . Once I removed it , perfecto ! No more emails from my team on why they are getting 20 duplicates !

Likely just a hiccup during the Flow running step. It is rare, but it happens. Your run history logs and a detailed history of each run may provide more insight. If you provide detailed screenshots of those, we may be able to assist further.

Hi Brad , ok I think I see the error but need your advice . In the form I have them use they provide a written response etc. Is it saying that it caused an error as one persons response was too long and it failed (341 characters) ? Would that be enough to cause it to send 16 duplicate emails ? Geoff 🙂

I have a similar but slightly different issue:

I have a suite of flows that are triggered by different changes to a list (some to the same column - Declined, Pending or Approved) and set to send emails. However one particular email is being resent by subsequent actions. (You may also see that I have a flow that does not appear to be working at all but that is a different issue)

As noted , I have waited different times between making the trigger changes to my list but the issue continues. 

Any steer?

I am new to PA and flows and may be making a simple mistake somewhere.

Hi there, I'm also new to flow so might be missing something, but in the last four days, my flow has started sending intermittent duplicate emails. It has affected 7 of the 35 forms submitted in that period (so about 20%), and I'm not sure why or what has changed.

 

A screenshot of the flow is below, and I'd greatly appreciate advice if anyone has any idea what's going on!

Thank you!! I was trying to figure it out and I realized what was the error and was the Apply to!!  

you need get the file and the append outside from apply to each action! Like this:

Summer of Solutions | Week 4 Results | Winners will be posted on July 24th

We are excited to announce the Summer of Solutions Challenge!    This challenge is kicking off on Monday, June 17th and will run for (4) weeks.  The challenge is open to all Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Copilot Studio & Power Pages) community members. We invite you to participate in a quest to provide solutions to as many questions as you can. Answers can be provided in all the communities.    Entry Period: This Challenge will consist of four weekly Entry Periods as follows (each an “Entry Period”)   - 12:00 a.m. PT on June 17, 2024 – 11:59 p.m. PT on June 23, 2024 - 12:00 a.m. PT on June 24, 2024 – 11:59 p.m. PT on June 30, 2024 - 12:00 a.m. PT on July 1, 2024 – 11:59 p.m. PT on July 7, 2024 - 12:00 a.m. PT on July 8, 2024 – 11:59 p.m. PT on July 14, 2024   Entries will be eligible for the Entry Period in which they are received and will not carryover to subsequent weekly entry periods.  You must enter into each weekly Entry Period separately.   How to Enter: We invite you to participate in a quest to provide "Accepted Solutions" to as many questions as you can. Answers can be provided in all the communities.
