Get Future Time failed

Hi, First attempt at creating a flow so hopefully a Noob question.

I'm trying to send an email every work day once in the morning and once in the after noon to check in/check out. No idea why Outlook doesn't have this function but hey, learning new skills so let's see that as a positive...

I asked the AI to help but I'm getting an error with a Null value in the Get Future time box. I ran the check and it said I should have a null value if I have the recurrence set up (which I do, M-F 8:07) so needless to say I'm confused and missing something.

I have 2 separate flows setup one for checking (807) and one for checkout (1607) but having copied one to the other obviously neither work. I'm sure these could be combined as a single flow but I was trying to use the KISS principal.

Any help gladly received.

@2Tapps You don't need the second action in your flow. I'm using the Classic Designer—the new designer is a bit buggy.

Set up your recurrence action to run when you want it to run. Once in the morning, once in the afternoon.

Thanks very much, just removed that from each and it works now. Any way to randomise the minute it sends the email? Can I just leave it blank so it runs after 0800 (but needs to be before 1600)

@2Tapps You can't randomize the minutes in the flow trigger. However, you could add a Delay action to your flow and insert a random number of minutes to delay your flow by. 

 

You'll need to use the rand() function. Refer to this section of another one of my tutorials to see how to use the rand() function.

Summer of Solutions | Week 4 Results | Winners will be posted on July 24th

We are excited to announce the Summer of Solutions Challenge!    This challenge is kicking off on Monday, June 17th and will run for (4) weeks.  The challenge is open to all Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Copilot Studio & Power Pages) community members. We invite you to participate in a quest to provide solutions to as many questions as you can. Answers can be provided in all the communities.    Entry Period: This Challenge will consist of four weekly Entry Periods as follows (each an “Entry Period”)   - 12:00 a.m. PT on June 17, 2024 – 11:59 p.m. PT on June 23, 2024 - 12:00 a.m. PT on June 24, 2024 – 11:59 p.m. PT on June 30, 2024 - 12:00 a.m. PT on July 1, 2024 – 11:59 p.m. PT on July 7, 2024 - 12:00 a.m. PT on July 8, 2024 – 11:59 p.m. PT on July 14, 2024   Entries will be eligible for the Entry Period in which they are received and will not carryover to subsequent weekly entry periods.  You must enter into each weekly Entry Period separately.   How to Enter: We invite you to participate in a quest to provide "Accepted Solutions" to as many questions as you can. Answers can be provided in all the communities.
