Parse Incoming Emails into sharepoint list

Hi,

I'm getting an email (example below) as a table and I want to create a flow that takes all the values from the email and create a new item on SharePoint list

traying to understand what is the relevant code I should use for it - what is the Tab delimiter in a table.

Below is the flow I have created for it, not sure how to use split for this table

split(outputs('Html_to_text')?['body']).............????????

Thanks

@AlmogM

Hi, you can do HTML to text and try to parse the text but it might be easier just to parse the HTML directly using Encodian's Utility - Parse HTML Table action.

AlexEncodian_0-1695129641568.png

FYI – actions with the “Utility“ prefix only consume 1/20th of an Encodian action count . For example, a Standard plan has 500 actions so utility actions can be used 500x20 = 10,000 times. They are designed to be an incredibly cost effective productivity boost for your flow builds!

----

*Encodian Flowr is a Standard Power Automate connector with 150+ actions to supercharge flow builds. Conversion, merging, splitting, OCRing, data extraction, QR/Bar codes, searching and much more. And we just added "Utility" actions, which are almost free to use and accelerate solution builds and remove maintenance overheads with actions like Extract text between values, extract URLs, extract email addresses, Password/GUID/HMAC creation, escaping/unescaping HTML, parsing HTML tables, etc.

Not sure I understands what needs to be fill when selecting Encodian- parse HTML table - how it knows what value to insert to what field on the SharePoint list

let me know if there other easy way for doing that

Thanks

Almog

@AlmogM

You need to sign up to Encodian’s connector first and authenticate it with the API key that you receive.

Theres a free trial (500 actions in first month) and then a free plan with 50 actions per month. Above that you need a subscription.

https://support.encodian.com/hc/en-gb/articles/360034587474-Get-an-API-Key-30-Day-Trial-Subscription

Is there other option to get this done without the trail version for limited time?

other way to parse a data table from an email to create an SP item acc the relevant fields/values??(what about the split option)?

@AlmogM

Look at the output of the HTML to text conversion. That will tell you what native expressions you need to use to parse the values that you need.

OK, so I got progress with it . I have success to insert the values into the share point list using below expression - outputs('compose')[1]

AlmogM_2-1695284358895.png

but all come into the 1st column(see below)

AlmogM_3-1695284460101.png

What I need to add for the expression that it will give me each time the value I need in the right column

Thanks

Almog

@AlexEncodian  can you help with my question as there is a progress to get the relevant data into SharePoint list?

Thanks

Almog

@AlmogM

As mentioned before, you need to look at the output of the HTML to text action to understand how to parse it. You haven't provided that output so I can't help.

Basically, you need to parse each column in the HTML table into a separate value so that you can match it to the item columns. There are many Power Automate expressions that help with parsing strings (split, trim, first, replace, etc). How to do this depends on the text you are dealing with.

If you don't want to use the Encodian actions, have a read of these blogs to learn about the functionality:

Thanks , the data that I'm getting after the Html to text is below

Delimiter is ENTER

Do I need to have compose after this one or I can directly put on the  SharePoint fields a split formula?
