Auto-populate people picker field based on selection of cascading dropdown

Hello experts,
I have two SP list named orgStructure and Report . The orgstructure list stores the org hirarchy having below column:

Field Name	Data Type
Function	Single line of text
Area	Single line of text
Team	Single line of text
Manager1	people picker
Manager2	people picker
Manager3	people picker

I have used above list for cascading dropdown in my parent list to store my weekly report. All above field also created in the parent Report list with similar data type. 
Now In powerapp I have deleted the default text datacard value and added dropdown control for Function,Area,Team. So basically when a user select Function,Area will be filtered depending upon orgstructure list and Team field will be filtered based on Area. So far this is working fine. The issue is I want to autopopulate the Manager1/2/3 field also the moment user select the Team field based on the orgStructure list since Team is unique for each line item in org list. I have applied the Lookup formula but it throwing me error.

LookUp(OrgStructure,Team=DropdownTeam.Selected.Result,Manager1)

Any suggestions would be useful.

Can you please provide the Items properties for your dropdown controls and to be clear...it is NOT that you are trying to change the Manager people columns in the orgList, but that you are using the orgList in another app and want to get the Manager names to populate some other column in some other list...is that correct?

Yes I don't want to change the manager names, I just pull out the information available in orgStructure list.
Item properties of different controls are:

Function	Distinct(OrgStructure,Function)
Area	Distinct(Filter(OrgStructure, Function =       DropdownFunction.Selected.Result),Area)
Team	Distinct(Filter(OrgStructure, Area = DropdownArea.Selected.Result),Team)
Manager1	LookUp(OrgStructure,Team=DropdownTeam.Selected.Result,Manager1)
Manager2	LookUp(OrgStructure,Team=DropdownTeam.Selected.Result,Manager2)
Manager3	LookUp(OrgStructure,Team=DropdownTeam.Selected.Result,Manager3)

If you want to set the value to a label or text field the following expression can be used,

First(LookUp(OrgStructure,Team=DropdownTeam.Selected.Result).Manager1).DisplayName

You are doing a lot of datasource trips in your formulas.

My suggestion would be the following:

Function dropdown Items:

GroupBy(OrgStructure, "Function", "_AreaRecords")

Area Dropdown Items: 

GroupBy(DropdownFunction.Selected._AreaRecords, "Area", "_TeamRecords")

Team Dropdown Items: 

GroupBy(DropdownArea.Selected._TeamRecords, "Team", "_records")

Manager1 (not sure what your control is for this one):

DropdownTeam.Selected.Manager1

Same for 2 and 3.

This will provide much better performance as you are not looking up and filtering on each control for the same information.

That is a different formula.  But I am seeing now that you are trying to set a TextInput control default.

What is NS Layer then?  Is that a person column as well?

Basically as I mentioned in problem statement All the field exists in both the list. So for ease of understanding I have named those as Manager1/2/3 here but in my original list it is named and N5/N6/N7 layer . All these are people picker field. I have tried your groupby method it worked for Function/Area/Team but upon selecting Team the manager names(aka N5/N6/N7) is not appearing.

Okay...got it on the column names.

One quick question before offering your solution...is the N5 layer and other people columns single selection or multi-person?

Its a single selection.
