Build a form wiith columns from 2 differents tables dataverses

Hello Everyone, 

I'm having  an issue , I have two table that are related  as

hierarchies table which contains [Hierarchy code, Hierarchy_ Name ]

and hierarchies levels TABLE [Sequence, description , hierarchy Code(the foreign key )¨]

Now I'm building a form that should contain (Sequence, description , and hierarchy Name ) I don't know how can I do it from 2tables , I 've made already the sequence , description in my from , but I don't know how can I get the Hierarchy_ Name that came from the other table in my form 

Please any help ?

I do not see the " Update property" in my form for hierarchyCode ,where can i found it , can you make a screenshot please ?

No problem as a new PowerApps designer (keep in mind you're not developing as PowerApps is not a developer platform).

In your form, once you have added your field, you will have a datacard for that field.  In that datacard, you will have multiple controls in it - a textinput, a label, etc.

In that datacard you will have added a dropdown. And, as mentioned prior:

If you would use a Dropdown for example, you would set the Items of the dropdown to 'Hierarchies Table'  (or whatever its name is) and then display the Hierarchy_Name in the selection list.

Then the Update property of your form for the Hierarchy Code, you would just set it to theDropdown.Selected.'Hierarchy code'

So, set the Items property as mentioned above.  Then find the Update property on the datacard of the form as mentioned above.

If you do NOT see an Update property on the datacard, then you either did not add the field as an existing field, or PowerApps is assuming that to be a read-only field.

If you still are not finding things, then take a screenshot of your control tree (on the left of the designer) with the form controls expanded.

Your dropdown needs to be part of the form.  Currently you have it simply "on the screen".  This will not interact with the form as you need.

Move the Dropdown into the Datacard for your Hierarchie_Code (highlighted in yellow below).  THEN, it is the update property of that Datacard that needs to have the formula:  Dropdown5.Selected.'Hierarchy code'

NOW...all that said, in looking at your photo...you already have a Combobox in your datacard called DataCardValue15.  So, either remove that, or use it and get rid of your new dropdown...

If you use it, then set the Items property of it to what has been mentioned.

ok i have done what you told me to do , now in the updatefunction , im having an error :"valeur record attendu" , i've made the dropdown6 in my hierarchie_code datacard ,

Realized that I forgot to paste in the image for your reference on this.  Sorry about that.  I'm sure the reference to the "highlighted" part was confusing.

So, as for the other issue...we need to explore more.  What kind of column is Hierarchie_Code in your datasource?

But before we even go down that road, change your Update property to: Dropdown5.Selected

me again , I have discoverd a strange attitude I'm my application , 

In fact everything is ok on my application , the hierarchy code is updated , but when i save the item and i go back the code is updated but the name of hierarchy do not been updated , can you please help me

to explain more , the hierarchy code is updated cause it's in the form but the dropdown value is not changing after saving the form
