Collection unable to update SharePoint List

I seem unable to update my SharePoint through Collect(). It gives me the error in the picture.

The specified column "ColumnName" doesn't exist. The column with a similar name is "ColumnName".

I checked the names, to make sure they match, and even the type of data they receive/send. It's the same, no misspelling or whitespaces or quotation marks.

The column names you use in your collection must match EXACTLY the "Real" names of the columns in your list.

If you do not match them, you will see this message.

Make sure you have every column name you are using in your collection to match the Real name of the column.

Keep in mind that if you rename a column (let's say Title) to another name, the Real name of that column will still be Title.  If you renamed it to "Name" (let's say) and you use Name in your collection as a column, it will give you this error.

Hm, I didn't know about Title, will work on that. But the thing is the other columns have the EXACT same names, and I get this error. I made sure the names where the same.

I do see Name as "Name (Title)" so I will rename it on my collection to that, but the rest still gives me an error and I don't understand why. 😞

What I am focused on is the Real name of the column...and it must match in your collection regardless of what you have called it.

If you go into your list and to the settings and then click on a column in your list to see the definition, once you are there, look at the URL in the browser address bar.  At the end will be field=<something>  That "something" is the Real name.  It must match in your collection.

@RandyHayesAh I see now. I have 4 letter gibberish for some reason 🤔 That means I must either rename the fields in my collection to that or make a new list and make sure the names match, correct?

Yes...they must match!  If you imported your list in from some place, that will typically give you the gibberish field names.  So, yes, either rename in your formulas for the collection, or new list with better naming.

Keep in mind in SharePoint that when you create a column (let's say you call it "Company Name") and then Decide that referencing it as Company_x0020_Name is annoying and decide to change it to "CompanyName", it will still retain its original name.  You cannot rename a column once created.  So, It's always better to name your columns like "CompanyName" for simplicity to column references and THEN rename it in SharePoint to "Company Name' for user preference and display.  It will still be CompanyName in the list.

I see. I don't remember correctly, but I either created a list on SharePoint or imported from Excel, which is most likely. I'll see if changing the names in the collection does something, otherwise I'll create a new list and be more careful.

Thanks for your assistance. By the way, since I'm using a mock-up of the actual list, I ended up deleting the columns that didn't match and recreated them in the Settings. 😊
