Combo Box Selection

Hello. Does anyone of you know how to store the selection from combo box to text field?

When using dropdown, I only put "Dropdown1.Selected.Value" on the default of the text field and it works. But what about if I use Combo Box instead of dropdown? The SelectMultiple of my Combo Box is set to false to there should not be a problem.

Value will only work for a single column table. You'll need to replace it with the column name that you would like to display.

COMBOBOX.Selected.PEOPLECOLUMN.DisplayName

If that doesn't work, what's your data source? SharePoint or Dataverse?

You using a people selecter from the Sharepoint list or did you use it in powerapps and connect the combo box to Office 365 users?

for example combo box

Office365Users.SearchUser(
    {searchTerm: ComboBox2.SearchText,
        top: 5
    }
)

then you can use as @charlessexton suggested

ComboBox2.Selected.DisplayName

It's the same thing. Combobox1.Selected.Value

It displays an error that Value isn't recognized. I am using look up in my form.

LookUp('Remaining Paid Leave Tracker', 'Associate Name'.DisplayName = DataCardValue1.Selected.Value).'Remaining Paid Leave'

Associate Name is a People or Group column from Remaining Paid Leave Tracker list. I used .DisplayName to return it from Record type to Text type. DataCardValue1 is the combo box, with Control type. I need to convert it to Text type as well but I am encountering errors.

@joieeee09 As your only selecting one value you could use

ComboBox2.Selected.Value1

My data source is Sharepoint.

I am currently working on a form named 'Vacation Request'. On that list, I have a People/Group column named Requestor. On that specific form, the user will input his name on the combo box, set the leave date and number of days he will be on leave. There is an additional field for Remaining Leave which will be auto filled when using a Look Up.

I have another list named Remaining Paid Leave Tracker with a People/Group column named Associate Name. When using the code, I am encountering errors since the Associate Name and Requestor have different data types.

Associate Name - Record

Requestor - Control

To fix it, I am trying to convert both fields to Text.

'AssociateName'.DisplayName >> converted into text. No issues.

DataCardValue1.Selected.Value >> encountering issues converting Control to Text.

It still returns an error.

I am not sure if it is because the column in which I am using the combo box is People or Group type and not Choice.

Have you tried this yet?

DataCardValue1.Selected.PEOPLECOLUMN.DisplayName

 You need to replace PEOPLECOLUMN with the name of your column.
