Edit Form Value based on Dropdown Value

Hi 

I have a dropdown. Items equals Products which a table

I have a form where I want to show the Products based on the selected value in the dropdown.

The DataSource is 

Filter(Products,Product = Dropdown1.Selected.Product)

In the Product text field I have -

Dropdown1.Selected.Product

In editing, I can see it, but when I preview its blank?

Any ideas please?

@TP18 That worked, thanks. I'm sure I tried that before and it didn't seem to work.

The top dropdown works with the form, it updates depending on the selection. Only problem is the category field which is also adropdown and isn't pulling through the value. I have dropdown1.selected.category but doesn't work?

Any ideas?

Hello @rosscortb 

You don't have to manually bind every controls in edit form, instead you can use below formula in item property of edit form

LookUp(datasource,products=Dropdown.Selected.product)

below formula is used in items property of drop down to get values of product

 edit form items property - LookUp(datasource,products=Dropdown.Selected.product)

make sure data source is pointing to the list

Hi @TP18 

My dropdown source if from a Dataverse table called products. The column is called category and its a drop down with choices, whisky, gin etc. 

So I have duplicate values, in the dropdown though. 

I have no formula error but the form shows no data.

Any Ideas?

p.s following on, I got "All", but I don't have a whisky or gin option in the dropdown,

LookUp(Products, category=Dropdown1.Selected.Value)
