I'm not entirely sure from the photos what is going on. It's difficult sometimes to get a handle on the exact scenario you are seeing.
It appears that everything is fine, but the labels and information you have in your gallery list don't seem to correspond to the photos of your data from before, so I can't piece it together very well.
However, looking at your information you typed. I believe you have some errors there.
The formula for the Items property of Gallery1 is accurate.
The formula for the Items property of Gallery2 does not seem to be accurate. As I look at your previous photos, I see that the Gallery 2 is a comment list on a DetailScreen, so I would assume it should be associated with the item being viewed (which is from the BrowseGallery).
Based on that, your Items property should be the same as before:
Filter(Comments, Application=BrowseGallery.Selected.Title, ItemID = BrowseGallery.Selected.ID)
Your Detail screen is basing its item from the item selected in the BrowseGallery. So, if you're trying to display the comments associated with that item, you will want to base your Gallery2 off of that BrowseGallery as well...thus the formula above.
You would typically have a Gallery in your App for the first list (or some other way to choose the item from "Testlist"
So, if you have another Gallery as the master gallery in your App - let's call it GalleryTestList with an Items property of 'Testlist' and perhaps two labels - one for ThisItem.ID and one for ThisItem.Title
Then in your gallery you want to filter, you can change the formula for the Items property to the following:
Filter(Comments,
Application=GalleryTestList.Selected.Title,
ItemID=GalleryTestList.Selected.ID)
When you are using the integration from SharePoint, the list in SharePoint kind of works like the master gallery, so in the stand-alone app, we are providing that with another Gallery and then just referencing that in the other places.
I hope this is helpful for you.
Hi,
Thank you about your quick reply.
i tried it before and it is not work , always it is show me same comments . please show the pictures attachments.
I dont Must 2 Galleries but i cannot think about another way .
I Try to do , when I will Choose Any application in my Testlist , i will see the Comments for this Application (by ID)
Okay..so what I'm not understanding from this is, it appears that you (from your SharePoint list) chose to Create an App. When you do that, it provides you with three screens - the Browse screen (which is the master list), the Detail screen (which allows you to view the detail of a selected item in the Browse screen), and an EditScreen (which provides the ability to edit an item selected in the Browse screen).
I see in your photo that you have added another screen (Screen1) with a Gallery that shows all of the Comments in the Comments list.
As I understood your original question you want your comments list (gallery) filtered by the selection of an item in the testlist. The example was you wanted to click on an application (from the Testlist) like "Windows" and see a gallery that has all the comments associated with the Window application from the Comments list.
Your photos appear to show the reverse of this.
I would assume that:
- the BrowseScreen in your app has a BrowseGallery control in it and it is connected to your 'Testlist' as its DataSource.
- your Screen1 with Gallery1 is where you want to see the filtered list of comments.
If so, then set the Items property of Gallery1 to :
Filter(Comments, Application=BrowseGallery.Selected.Title, ItemID = BrowseGallery.Selected.ID)
I'm not entirely sure that this is accurate based on your data because your photos of the data do not match your description - you mentioned the Comments list had Application, ItemID, Comment columns, yet the photo only showed ItemID and Comment. But if that was just a mistake, then the above should work fine.
Hi friend,
thank you about your quick reply again.
You Are the Best.
It is work.
the final Solution is:
In Gallery1(Comments)
Filter(Comments, ItemID = BrowseGallery.Selected.ID)
in Gallery2(Testlist)
Filter(Comments, ItemID = Gallery1.Selected.ItemID)
Still Have Little Bug . When i enter to Some Application1 or 2 or 3 (picture 5) it is show me the currect comments, but sometimes it is not show me anything , i need go back and click again some times for show the comments (picture 6)
and after it i will back and click again on same application and it is again not show me anything
