ForAll and UpdateIf Field in Collection = Datasource's Primary Key

I have a collection with the same fields as my data source (SP List). I want to update all records in the collection where the ID field of the collection equals the primary key in the data source. Below yields no errors, but doesn't update the data source. I think the issue is naming conventions in the record parameter of the UpdateIf function. Dumbfounded at this point.

ForAll(myCollection, 
    UpdateIf(spListName,
    sp_list_pk = myCollectionID,
    {sp_column: collection_column}
    )
)

Please help!!!

For the most part, that should work.  My question would be...do you have name collisions?  It appears that your formula was sort of a sample, with clarified column names.  Are those the real column names?  And if not, do you have duplicate in collection and SP list?  If so, then perhaps you need to look over the disambiguation concepts to make sure you are referencing the proper columns.

You will run into issues trying to do things like UpdateIf(list, ID=ID, {record....})

Your syntax appears correct - here is a post confirming it. Have you definitely checked that the sp_list_pk in SPListName and myCollectionID in myCollection  are equal on the records you want updated.

   myCollection, 
   UpdateIf(
      spListName,
      sp_list_pk = myCollectionID,
      {sp_column: collection_column}
    )
)

I think you are correct about the naming collisions. I created the collection from the data source but couldn't figure out how to specify a column name within the collection. Below is the code for that and more representational code for the 1st posted.

Collect From DB:

ClearCollect(dbSublotCollection, 
    ShowColumns(
        Filter(sublots, lot_fk.Id = lotsGallery.Selected.lot_pk), "ID", 
        "supplier_sublot_name"
    )
)

ForAll & UpdateIf:

ForAll(dbSublotCollection, 
    UpdateIf(artemia_sublots,
    sublot_pk = ID,
    {sublot_name: sublot_name}
    )
)

I would be fine with being able to name the fields of the collection if you could tell me how. I believe that will resolve the problem.

I'm not completely positive they're exactly the same. The primary key was collected using "ID" as SP Lists and PowerBI seem to have specific naming conventions to use. However, the name of the field in the SP List is different (e.g. pk_name). Other fields from the SP list are exactly the same though. Thoughts?

The field name "supplier_sublot_name" is the same in the collection and SP List. If I was able to name the field in the collection when it's created then I could. See collection code above.

Have you used the disambiguation yet on this?
