Help with Combobox List to show multiple columns from source

Hello,

I am using powerapps within the teams environment. I am looking to use a combobox that is multi select. From my understanding there are new objects and classic objects.  For the newer combobox, there isn't a DisplayFields function for this function ["cr282_name","cr282_certs"].  I am unsure how to get the two columns of data to show in the combobox. I have attached an image showing the current combobox

I would like to have the second table column shown beside the name. For example Name 1 - Certifications

Select Edit (on the right panel) after selecting the combo box and you will see options to display multiple fields. They will display one under the other (not beside).

@WarrenBelz Does that work for you in PowerApps for Teams?

I actually get the same issue as @JP86.

The items collection contains a Title field and a Value field. Both are selected in the Fields section for the ComboBox, but only the first field gets displayed.

I worked around this issue in creating either an extra calculated column within the table which combines the two fields in the way I like it or you can do this directly inside the combo box items property (my preferred way): 

Concatenate(tblData.Title, " - ", tblData.Value)

Hey @JP86, 

To work around the issue for now (and potentially something you might want to stick with in the future as well, if you would like to have the different fields on the same row in the ComboBox) you could always add another concatenated text column to the ComboBox items.

To do this, simply add the below expression to something that triggers before displaying your ComboBox, e.g. on the App.OnStart event, or the OnVisible event on the screen as the ComboBox is located on or similar.

ClearCollect(
    colAddedColumn,
    AddColumns(
        colComboBox,
        "Title+Value",
        Concatenate(Title, " - ", Value)
    )
)

When you have this new collection, containing the concatenated/combined text column, use this collection as the Items property for your ComboBox and then select only the new field to be displayed in the ComboBox.

I do not use PowerApps directly in Teams, but it appears not as you should see something like the screen below

Yes, I know.

The layout section has been removed from the PowerApps for Teams version. However, it is interesting that you can still select multiple fields, but only one is displayed in the ComboBox.

When multiple fields are selected, both appear in the "drop-down", with the "primary" on top. Once selected, this is the field shown and (normally) written back to the data source. I say normally as you could change the Update of the Data Card, or the Patch and write back any field from the record selected.

This is very helpful as it works perfectly for displaying two sql columns in the combo box.  Is there a way to do three columns?

took me a bit to find out why, there are subtle differences between canvas apps and model driven apps, like the combo box
