How can populated Nominee Manager & Submitter Manager when Nominee Name is selected.

The nominee's name is connected to Sharepoint and is called "Controller Awards."

I need to make sure that when a user selects Nominee Name, the Nominee Manager & Submitter Manager as well.  The Submitter will be selecting the nominee's name when using the form by clicking on the Nomine Name, which should populate the Nomine Manager column. Also, make sure that the Submitter Manager name populates when the submitter selects the Nominee Name column.

Can someone please guide me with the request?

• Couple questions first. Are all the fields just dropdown types?
• Are the Submitter names and Nominee names in your Controller Org list as EmployeeName?
• And is your Nominee Name dropdown field connected to that Controller Org list and pulling all the EmployeeNames?

If all that's true then you can set the DefaultSelectedItems property of your Nominee Manager field to

{Value: NomineeNameDropdown.Selected.ManagerName}

And then you can set the DefaultSelectedItems property of your Submitter Manager field based on the current user (as long as the name or email matches their entry in the Controller Org list. So you could do:

{Value: LookUp(Controller Org, EmployeeName = User().FullName).ManagerName}

Since all that is true, you should be able to do what I said before and use the two formulas. You just need to add the first one into the DefaultSelectedItems property of the Nominee Manager field and then add the second formula into the DefaultSelectedItems property of the Submitter Manager field.

Try that and see if it works.

So, the first formula didn't work and showing an error of Name isn't valid. 'NomineeNameDropdown' isn't recognized. But the second one works, and it populates the submitter manager's name.

Also, This last question was not true. I just wanted to make sure about that

So the NomineeNameDropdown would need to get replaced by whatever you named your dropdown control for that field.

But based on your answer to the last question, you should be able to use the second formula but just tweak it like this:

{Value: LookUp(Controller Org, EmployeeName = NomineeDropdown.Selected.Value).ManagerName}

Remember to replace NomineeDropdown with the name of your dropdown control

You were super close!

You just need to change 'Nominee Manager'.Selected.Value to DataCardValue45.Selected.Value since that is the name of the dropdown for your Nominee Name field.
