How to patch a selected value in a dropdown list whose data source is from other sharepoint list to the Sharepoint list.?

Dear all ,

I have a form that contains several filed. 

Most of fields are from one sharepoint list 1 ,and the values in Mentor dropdown list are form the other sharepoint list 2

When i fill out all fileds in the form and submit the form, the selected value in the Mentor dropdown list cannot be patched to the sharepoint list 1.

And i also want to mark the selected vaule of Mentor dropdown list as selected in Sharepoint list 2.

Could you please help on it?

Since you are using form. Check the DataCard datafield and update property from that you will know what is happening.

datafield should contain the column name and update property:urdropdown.selected.menter or urdropdown.selected.value

Patch(List2,lookup(list2,menter=urdropdown.selected.menter),{isselected:true})

use above formula as reference and change accordingly to ur requirement

Where is the update property ？

I inputted the following code in OnSave of the form. The second feature works，but the selected value in dropdown list still can not be created in SharePoint list 1

SubmitForm(SharePointForm1);

Patch('HR mentors',LookUp('HR mentors',title=DataCardValue5.Selected.title),
{isselected:"yes"}

)

for datacard you will have properties datafield: which column of list value will be updated, Update: what value is updating to the sharepoint list

check this properties from that you will find out whats wrong

Thanks. I think the problem is on the values in dropdown list.

I used the following cold for filter the values realted to mentors from Sharepoint list 2

Filter(
'HR mentors' ,isselected="no")

in this case ，i get a table in the dropdown list ，right？

Yes

if you want just one column.you can use showcolumns formula

Showcolumns(Filter('HR mentors' ,isselected="no"),"yourcolumnname")

or

Distinct() function

Select one preference mentor from list below

is this a column name?
