Hi All,
I need to develop a form in power apps.
I have data from multiple reporting unit in excel, the user should be able to see or edit only the data for the RU in which he belongs.
REPORTING UNIT SALES
1 100
2 200
could you please help me how this user mapping can be created and then implemented in the power apps.
Solved! Go to Solution.
Thank you so much Gochix .
I tried the above, I have used email as text in SharePoint for now. But now it is giving delegation warning. I changed the delegation count to 2000 from 500. Any other way to handle this better?
@dims12 ,
Because you are comparing 2 different tables/Lists, the "in" is not delegable.
https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-apps/maker/canvas-apps/delegation-overview
What you could do as a workaround is to ClearCollect both of the Tables / Lists within PowerApps memory.
ClearCollect(usersMem,users);
ClearCollect(SalesdataMem,Salesdata);

Thank you. I have question related to sharepoint on how I can restrict the access of users in the list so that they don't see the data. To edit the data and update it from app to sharepoint list I need to provide them access. Any suggestion on this?
Can I apply the condition based on another table column value?
I user can be multiple RU, I have created one mapping table RU and email. How I can filter sales list so that they can see only the RU data in which he belongs?
@dims12 ,
I believe this was answered with the formula:
With({Filteredusers: Filter(users, usermail = User().Email)},
Filter(Salesdata,RU in Filteredusers.RU))
Only those people who has his email address against the RU number from users table/List can see the data from Salesdata.
So if in users List you have the following:
RU -- usermail
1 ---- abc@mail.com
2 ---- bbb@gmail.com
3 ---- abc@mail.com
3 ---- bbb@gmail.com
Then in your Salesdata:
RU -- actualsales
1 --- 2000
2 --- 3000
3 ---- 4000
then if user's email is abc@mail.com
he will be able to see actualsales 2000 and 4000.
If users email is bbb@gmail.com then he will see the actuasales 3000 and 4000
because his RU is the same as abc@mail.com = 3
If I answered your original question please accept the answer.

Hi.
I created clear collect and then used it the gallery but now its returning only one row of data not all row.
could you please help @Gochix
@dims12 ,
ClearCollect isn't changing the way how the formula retrieves data. If it is displaying you all rows of data if you use
With({Filteredusers: Filter(users, usermail = User().Email)},
Filter(Salesdata,RU in Filteredusers.RU))
then it also must be the same with your in app collections.
Check for any typo errors you may have done, or check if there is matching data manually in the collections list.
