Patch the same form after a submitform has ran

I have a switch function that submits a form based on a two different drop downs that also have forms listed. Basically select this type of form and you get 4 forms of that type or select this other type and you get 6 forms of that type.  See below:

Here is my dilemma. Each of those forms above has the exact same 6 introductory questions. So instead of placing those same 6 questions in 11 different forms I created a single form with those 6 questions. I am trying to submit both the "General Information" form and the form that is the result of the switch function above to the same record in sharepoint.

You can't do that with a form as it needs to have an assigned datasource and record.

However, you don't need a form to do what you are trying to do.  Just set that up as 6 questions to be complete (whatever they are) and then in your actual forms you can reference those controls for the fields they correspond to.

So basically, include those fields in your real form.  Make them hidden.  And then set the update property on those fields to reference the "common" controls.

Like if you had a question : "What's your favorite color?"  Then you would have a label to display that, and then a TextInput control (let's call it txtFavColor) to enter the answer.

Then, in your forms, make sure the for, has the FavoriteColor column in it and it is not visible.  Then set the Update property to : txtFavColor.Text

That is all you need.

There is no way to submit the form then immediately patch it based off the "ID" or the "modified" column?

Sure, in the OnSuccess action of the form, you can do another hit at the record and make additional changes.

ex.  UpdateIf(dataSource, ID=Self.LastSubmit.ID, {someColumn: SomeValue})

Is the LastSubmit based on the user or does it look at the database and just take the latest record. I ask because about 15 users use the app and I am worried they might write to the wrong record if they happen to submit at the same time.

LastSubmit will return the last submitted record of the form.  There is no checking for concurrency in the submit.  So, if one user has updated the record and then another tries to update the record, it will most likely return a conflict error.
