Radio Buttons not submitting correct

I am getting an error upon submission. This is my submit button outside of the gallery orAll(
Gallery2.AllItems,
If(
!IsBlank(Radio4.Selected.Value),
Patch(
'DE Radio',
Defaults('DE Radio'),
{
Title:Namee,
Answer: Radio4.Selected.Value,
Name_:User().FullName,
Date:Today()
}
)
)
); I only want the selected radio buttons to be submitted. Namee is a text label in the gallery and its text is ThisItem.Namee, which has the name of each item I want to patch. I am getting an error that says that title is required but I have that. Additionally it is patching random radio buttons. When I do Title:Title it picks another text label ThisItem.Area why does it choose this as the title?

Change your Items property on the Radio4 to the following:

["Works","Issues","Fail"]

Then take a look at the label we put on there - what are the values for the empty ones?

If it is still the same, then change your label Text property to :

"Radio: " & Radio4.Selected.Value & " (" & Len(Radio4.Selected.Value) & ")" &
"Data: " & ThisItem.Radio & " (" & Len(ThisItem.Radio) & ")"

Let's see what that gives us.

You should see "Radio:  (0) Data:  (0)" for the empty ones.

If the Data value shows something different, then we need to look at your Gallery Items property next.

I am past work end time here, so let me know and I will respond back tomorrow.

It was the same so I put in the label and saw "Radio:  (5) Data:  (0)" for the empty ones @RandyHayes

@Anonymous

So I was able to get closer to your situation in a little test app I put together.  I DO see that there is some unusual behavior wherein the value of the first Radio control is being "ghosted" for the other items.  I've not seen this behavior with that control before and wonder if it is a temporary bug or if it is some other issue.

So, let's revisit the formula then on your Submit button.  Change to this and I believe your issue will be solved:

With({usrFull: User().FullName},

    ForAll(
        Filter(Gallery2.AllItems, !IsBlank(Radio)),
        Patch('DE Radio',
            Defaults('DE Radio'),
            {
                Title:Namee,
                Answer: Radio,
                Name_:usrFull,
                Date:Today()
            }
        )
    )
)

Since you are patching the Radio column on the OnChange, the underlying record will have the correct value and you can use that in the formula instead.

Great! Works perfectly. However, when another user opens up my app will they be able to see the selections I've made? I don't know if the update you did fixed that but it should only be holding that users radio buttons answers. @RandyHayes

@Anonymous

Yes, I'm actually considering this a bug and putting together details to report on.  Everything we did works perfectly if the data of the gallery is collection-based.  As soon as you switch to an actual data source, the anomaly appears.

But at least you have a workaround for the moment.

As for the "who will see what" - That is going to be based on your Filter for the Gallery.  Are you recording the useremail in the GUAT list (which is what your Gallery is based on)?  If so, then you just need to filter by that.

No, this is what I have for my filter. Filter(
collGUATMasterData,
If(
IsBlank(ComboBox1.Selected.Result) || ComboBox1.Selected.Result = "All",
true,
System in ComboBox1.SelectedItems
) && If(
IsBlank(Search_.Text),
true,
Search_.Text in Namee
) && If(
IsBlank(ComboBox1_1.Selected),
true,
Radio in ComboBox1_1.SelectedItems.Value
)
) . This is the same filter I have in my other app except that it uses the default in checkbox to search for the persons and emails and then filters accordingly. I am not sure how to do this with a radio button @RandyHayes Because right now I believe it is showing the same selections for everyone. @RandyHayes

@Anonymous

Yes, so you are going to need something in the GUAT list that will identify the user with the item.  Otherwise you are just going to have everyone seeing that same data.

ok so say I add a column called Email_ into the datasource how would I fix the filter. Also I tried something, but it didnt work Set(vUserMail,User().Email); - I put that in onStart and then Filter(
collGUATMasterData, vUserMail,
If(
IsBlank(ComboBox1.Selected.Result) || ComboBox1.Selected.Result = "All",
true,
System in ComboBox1.SelectedItems
) && If(
IsBlank(Search_.Text),
true,
Search_.Text in Namee
) && If(
IsBlank(ComboBox1_1.Selected),
true,
Radio in ComboBox1_1.SelectedItems.Value
)
) this in the filter, could it also be done like this? @RandyHayes

@Anonymous

Change your formula to this:

Filter(
    collGUATMasterData,
        Email_ = vUserMail &&
        (IsBlank(ComboBox1.Selected.Result) || ComboBox1.Selected.Result = "All") &&
        System in ComboBox1.SelectedItems &&
        (IsBlank(Search_.Text) || Search_.Text in Namee) &&
        (IsBlank(ComboBox1_1.Selected.Result) || Radio in ComboBox1_1.SelectedItems.Value)
)

Also, I thought your Gallery was based on the GUAT datasource???  In this you are based on a collection.

I can change it back to the datasource, I changed it to a collection because it got rid of the delegation errors. Also, I used this Filter(
collGUATMasterData,
Email_ = vUserMail &&
(IsBlank(ComboBox1.Selected.Result) || ComboBox1.Selected.Result = "All") &&
System in ComboBox1.SelectedItems &&
(IsBlank(Search_.Text) || Search_.Text in Namee) &&
(IsBlank(ComboBox1_1.Selected) || Radio in ComboBox1_1.SelectedItems.Value)
) and the gallery was blank @RandyHayes  ClearCollect(collGUATMasterData,GUAT); Thats the collection, I thought it would be better to use that
