Statecode: The column was generated by the server and cannot be specified

I'm trying to duplicate record and I'm having a problem trying to copy the Status.

@Deivid , Okay, so this is the Dataverse table Status System Column. Your code it wont work because you are using the Defaults function which doesn't work with setting the State value while in the same Patch function. 

We used to do that by crating a local variable of the patch with the defaults function and using it as a record in the Patch function.

However, why do you want to set the status as active using the defaults function while it will automatically be created for you?

Currently, the created duplicate button copies the record and the new duplicate record appears on the form. After this duplication, the client makes the necessary changes.

But we set it up this way because it seemed to be the best option, if we'd better duplicate it before submitting the form, no problem, we're willing to do whatever is most beneficial for the application.

Yes...that is what I am saying!  The duplicate button should do a SubmitForm to submit a new record (you just need to set the primary key to blank) and then have the form show that record.

Example...your form is in Edit mode (all the time) and your Item property would be set to: glbCurrentRecord (just naming a variable here...whatever you have).  Prior to showing the record, you would set it to the record you want to display.  On the duplicate button, you would blank the Primary Key:  Set(glbCurrentRecord, Patch(glbCurrentRecord, {PrimaryKey: Blank()}); SubmitForm(yourForm)

Then have the OnSuccess action to include this function:  Set(glbCurrentRecord, Self.LastSubmit)

That is it...it will duplicate the record and then display it in the form for further editing.

This is the standard Dataverse Status column.

PowerApps wasn't complaining about the Status, but today when I opened the project, it gives the error in question (it's in pt-BR):

Message in english: "Statecode: The column was generated by the server and cannot be specified"

I don't want to set another Status, if Defaults works, it would solve my problem, I need to get exactly the current Status.

@Deivid, here is a thought, can you try to pass the Form_Processos.LastSubmitted as a record in the Patch function? So put Form_Processos.LastSubmitted after the Defaults and that is it.

Note, I am assuming that you already submitted the Form. Your function should be in the Form.OnSuccess

@RandyHayes, From what I'm analyzing before testing, for one screen it seems like a good idea, but what about in my case that there will be 24 more screens at once when I click on the Duplicate button, is it feasible? Is it possible to use?

@Deivid, is the StateCode field in the Form? If it is, try to remove it. I don't include those in my Forms.

I deleted that default field and created a custom one, it worked.
