Trouble pulling LastN Data from Sharepoint

A sharepoint list I'm using as a datasource recently went over 2,000 records. I only need the last 500.

My code to pull that information originally was:

LastN(Sharepoint_List,500)

I found several discussions regarding this exact issue and attempted using those solutions (and combinations of) to no avail.

My code is currently:

FirstN(Sort(Sharepoint_List,ID,Descending),500)

Even though this code (as far as I can tell) matches the solutions provided for other people, I'm still not pulling records 2001+ from my list.

Any insight would be much appreciated.

Hi @RMGG ,

The point is that LastN is not delegable.  The alternative is to divide the data source into groups with delegable functions, each with less than 2000 records, and then save the data in batches into a collection.

With Sort being delegable, I should be able to pull the list in descending order of ID, then just pull the first 500 entries from that sorted list. That seems to have worked for several other people, I'm trying to understand why identical code isn't working for me.

My solution required that I add another column by which I can filter the list; items on the list will periodically be modified such that they'll be filtered out, either by a button in powerapps or an automated flow (haven't decided yet).

I'm still not sure why sorting by ID (or created date) was only pulling the first 2k records even though it's listed as a delegable function.
