Here are a couple things. First ALWAYS use the newest version of a connector.
In your App OnStart you are setting varUser to Office365Users.MyProfile()). Change this to Office365Users.MyProfileV2()). This is probably why you are not seeing givenName and surname.
To answer your question about the link that @v-bofeng-msft , the person who posted that was creating a person dropdown and was providing all the information to that dropdown. @RandyHayes showed them how to do it using ForAll instead of duplicating the lines in the formula. This is what this part refers to. You can ignore that, it doesn't pertain to what you are trying to do.

The profilev2 I don't think is working on my end.
I had changed Onstart
it's not patching back
there's no Email in the auto syntax it only have mail.
using .Email also hv errors.
I tested with the label no information was display - for department, email.
I can tell you that the profileV2 does work as I use it all the time. Some of the identifiers have changed as you can see, email is now mail. As you can see in the image below all 3 labels are retrieving information from Office365Users.MyProfileV2.
I have done some digging and here is what I found. You no longer have to use the Odata type. You also only have to provide 3 pieces of information and Sharepoint will fill in the rest. Try this:

I believe that the mail should be lower case, varUser.mail. When you first create a SharePoint list Title is the only required field and is the field tied to the Edit link. You may have renamed it to something else or maybe you set it to not be required.
Please share a screenshot of the statement that is setting varUser. Also, you can't patch the department like you are trying to do. You don't need to patch it at all. If you set the 3 fields I showed in the last post, SharePoint will automatically pick up the department.

The challenge is open to all Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Copilot Studio & Power Pages) community members. We invite you to participate in a quest to provide solutions in the Forums to as many questions as you can. Answers can be provided in all the communities. Entry Period: This Challenge will consist of four weekly Entry Periods as follows (each an “Entry Period”) - 12:00 a.m. PT on June 17, 2024 – 11:59 p.m. PT on June 23, 2024 - 12:00 a.m. PT on June 24, 2024 – 11:59 p.m. PT on June 30, 2024 - 12:00 a.m. PT on July 1, 2024 – 11:59 p.m. PT on July 7, 2024 - 12:00 a.m. PT on July 8, 2024 – 11:59 p.m. PT on July 14, 2024 Entries will be eligible for the Entry Period in which they are received and will not carryover to subsequent weekly entry periods.
