Connection to Outlook to use copilot in powerautomate

I am trying to follow along in power automate to make a cloud flow via copilot.  I make the connection from connections on the main page but when I type in what I want the flow to generate and then click next my outlook asks me to switch the connection.  I try and no luck.  I need that in order to continue with the class and make my cloud flow.  Thanks.

The developer environment doesn't give us access to Office 365 to ensure privacy of all users in Power Up Program.

Please re-watch Video #6 (Build a Student loan notification flow using Copilot) from 2:45 minute to hear it. See the two screenshots for clarity.

 

You can create the same flow from Blank if you continue watching the video when you reach 10:43. Again, you might run into another issue because the Power Up login email is not a real email, you need to use your work or student or personal email to do the exercise. Try to listen carefully to what the Trainer is saying, especially when you need to switch to use real email; please try to choose appropriate connector (e.g., Outlook or Office 365 connector for work or school email, or Gmail connector for personal email, you can also use SMTP mail connector if like).

@henryobison  is correct, we do not have an exchange license assigned to our learning account for privacy concerns which is understandable. However, a workaround will be to connect a different account with an active mailbox.

To confirm the receipt of the email sent by the flow, you will need to edit one of the user email to your email to receive the email as seen on this screenshot.

 

Kindly go to School Library => Apps => Loans Manager (Play it) => Students => select any user e.g. Yuki Sato => Edit the email to your test receiving email and test.

Important Update | Power Up Community READ ONLY July 22 – July 28

Dear Community Members, As you may have read, the Power Platform communities are transitioning to a new platform and to access will be set to READ-ONLY mode during the transition. Key DatesTo ensure current learners have adequate support in the final week of the cohort, the Power Up Program Community will transition to READ-ONLY mode starting July 22nd, the platform will transition to READ-ONLY mode until July 28th. Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power Pages communities will be read-only July 16-22, 2024.During this period, members will not be able to start new threads or Kudo, Comment, or Reply to any posts, but will be able to search and review past threads or solutions. On July 22nd, please be on the lookout for a message sent to the email address registered on your community profile. This email is crucial as it will contain your unique code and link to register for the new platform encompassing all of the communities. Learners will be able to sign in to the new Power Up Program community experience, starting July 29th. If you registered for community using your learnwithpowerup account, you will not receive an email, but should be able to sign in successfully if you are signed in to My hub.  If you need help with your community account, please submit a request at aka.ms/PPCommSupport We appreciate your understanding and cooperation during this transition.
