Flow just not starting

I have a flow which is triggered by "When a new email arrives in a shared mailbox". This was working fine till yesterday, but today the flow isnt even starting. Any idea what may have caused the issue? It started on its own today and stopped again.

A same trigger works fine, I exported and imported the flow but to no avail.

What could be the reason that the flow would just stop getting triggered randomly?

Im convinced it’s a bug - may be worth posting in the “I found a bug” forum as others mentioning issues too. Case closed I say on that. Feel free to mark as solution / kudos etc if you agree and pop it into bug forum.

Hi @Anonymous

If you go to Edit > Test Flow ... does it run ?

If it errors, can you screen grab the errors and post a detailed pic of your Flow and I'll have a look.

Thanks, Alan

This is whats happening.

It looks like you have chosen "I'll perform the trigger action"

Please try "Using data from previous runs" and run a previous working one.

Sorry I clicked accept as a solution as a mistake.

It shows only last 5 attempts, and all are failed.

Run a failed one. It will still get you either a success or more likely an error. Then expand the error and screen shot it and post it.

Do the same with your while Flow and any detail. It’s the only way I/We can help you here.

Thanks, Alan

Oh Geez, the test ran successfully but not running in live mode.

I will lose my job because of Microsoft!

Hahaha ... that gave me a chuckle @Anonymous

Why don't you try saving a copy of the Flow, name it something else and when you do it will be disbaled by default. You could then flip it on and the other off temporarily and run it.

That's kinda what I'd do as this sounding a little quirky!

Thanks, Alan

I did the same yesterday but same result.

If you click the paly button and run it normally, what happens?

Does it work like the test?

Maybe time to get some detailed screen shots of the Flow up for me to see.

Thanks, Alan

Sorry, I am not sure what you mean by the play button.

ah, now I see your trigger is “when an email arrives” ... you won’t have a play button. Leave it with me I’m gonna have a think! Be back soon

Can I just throw it out there . Please make sure all licensing and mailbox permissions are in place.

Also , open the most recent failed test and post a screen grab of the error please .

Thanks, Alan

Yes they are, it ran perfectly today morning.

The tests failed because the last action in the flow was to delete the email with which it started. So when I did test with the last successful run, it couldnt find that email in the inbox and hence it failed. However, the test at least started. In my case the flow doesnt even get triggered. Forget throwing an error.

The same thing happened yesterday, it ran fine in the morning but failed in the afternoon. It again ran fine today morning.

Do you have any errors from the ones not running in the afternoon? Any you can post maybe?

No errors at all. Just wont start. I have a test flow with the same trigger and that works.

The trigger you’re using is a fairly newer one ... I’m now getting a nagging thought I’ve seen some mention it was buggy. Search the forums for the connector name to see if anything ties in to that. This may be time to implement in same result different process. Or build again from scratch but see if any evidence of bugs as in signing off for the night now. Fresh head tomorrow or Monday!
