GetItems Filter Error

I am getting an error stating a column used on a GetItems Filter Query does not exists on the list I am checking, but it does.

Why?

"Column PDAAA does not exist."

But I can see it on the list I am using.

Hi @Anonymous 

Try running the Get Items with no Filter and check the column name and value what you getting for column PDAAA . This will help in finding the issue.

OK, doing that, no filter.

Then send myself a notification of the result of the list via e-mail.

Got the e-mails, but hey provide a URL reference. In test run, for that step, the outputs body I got the attached.

The string I wanted to filter by is 'Group A - Registered Courses'.

It seems the name of the column to use in the filter is "Professional_x0020_Development_x".

How do I translate that into the GetItems advanced option Filter?

I seems to have spaces.

OK, I am using Professional_x0020_Development_x eq 'Group A - Conferences & Industry Events'. Having 'Group A - Conferences & Industry Events' being a dynamic variable content.

I assume here that I can use the name EXACTLY as provided, meaning having "_x0020_" in the middle and "_x" at the end on the GetItems filter option.

I no longer have an error in running the filter, still it finds not records.

It seems this specific column has a number of attributes and Value is the one that has the string I am searching for "Group A - Registered Courses"

If I solely use the string Professional_x0020_Development_x I got no execution errors, but no records are found. If I try to use Professional_x0020_Development_x.value I got execution errors.

The other columns have no such sub/attributes (Id, Value, etc.) and I assume can be directly accessed by name.

If I try to use any of the other list attributes as filter criteria for GetItems, for the same record, I do get results.

It is specifically not liking the fact that I am querying for that specific attribute of the list.

This is not the first Title default attribute created when you create a new list, but it is a new custom attribute I added and it is the first in the order of attributes. Can this be a problem? That the first column has any special usage case?

Is your PDAAA  column is type lookup? if yes then you should use different expression in Filter Query, something like follow:

My LookuUP column Name is : MyLookUP and its looking up to Title on source list 

MyLookUP/Title eq 'Australia'

Yes, it is a lookup.

The attribute name that is looking up on the source list has spaces. So instead of "Title" is "Title 1".

Do I need to enclose it in quotes or use any special character for the space?

Like:

MyLookUp/"Title 1"

Get the internal column name like you did for PDAAA column and use that.

Let me know if that does not work.

OK, getting the original list used for lookup gives me that the attribute I am interested in is called Title.

Therefore, by using the internal columns names and your forward slash trick I got it.

Professional_x0020_Development_x forward_slash Title
