Update SharePoint folder column value from SP Column email address

Hi,

I have created a flow to create a folder when a new item is created in the SP list by taking some of the value from the List Item.

There is a custom column added in a folder for email id, which needs to copy from the SP list to the folder column.

My current flow is working fine but not updating the column value in the folder library.

Currently, it's updating the folder path column but not updating the email id column added an image for reference.

Can someone help me how to copy the email from the SP list to the library column, please?

I don't think you can use Update File Properties to update folder metadata. File is an object whereas folder is a location.

Try Update Item property instead.

but flow showing an error and not updating the folder column.

This is not the correct ID field. It should be the item Id of the folder, whereas you seem to be passing a text.

There are two underscores before metadata

this looks like 2 underscores but actually, we have only one underscores before metadata.

still, it's getting an error and failing the flow, do we have any other option to update the value for the document library using the SP list item...?

Hi Sunil,

What I meant was that SP REST Schema expects two underscores, whereas you have provided just one.

Sample below:

The parameter __metadata does not exist in method GetById.

Here is a working example.

Ensure that the object name is provided correctly.

You can crosscheck that by opening the following URL in the browser and cross-verifying the name

@sunil_stryker  you can also try changing the values of accept and content type to application/json;odata=nometadata, so that you dont have to provide metadata values in body, you can simply provide the column json values in body, as shown in below screenshot
