Isssue with the "From"

I have a challenge where I cannot add more than one email address from the 'From' field.  I have different clients that sends us email attachment within the same company.  I've tried everything so far no luck.  I can only use one email.  To test it, I add two email addresses with an attached file, but when I ran the script nothing happen.  But if I remove one email and ran it, the script works.  Anyone have any idea on how to do this?  Thank you!

I see that you say, I can disable Parse Text and Get Subtext step.  I was testing something, but it looks like even though I disable them it doesn't do anything with the script.  I am disable them now.

I don't understand what you mean by first and second rename.  If you are feeding in a list of emails with attachments you can't rename them twice in the same loop.  Instead of having the New file name hard coded you need to have that be a parameter that is fed into the loop.  That way its a single rename action that renames the files based on the email address that is fed into the loop.

I didn't say to remove the parse text.  I asked why you were using both the From and the To when parsing.

to tell you the truth, I did not know what I am doing with the Parse Text & Get SubText. I don't really know how to use it, but I am here to any suggestion on how to use it properly.  However, your message above, I am still don't know what to do.  can you show me an example from your last post to me?

Here's a quick shot at the flow. The main flow retrieves the emails and stores them in the folder where you want them to go.  Then for each email it takes the From value and splits it to get the user who sent the email.  It then runs the subflow

The subflow loops through each attachment on the email and renames the file.

I don't see where you reference the variable %File% in the rename step.  I got this error

Is there a way I can call you via-phone?  I am having problem with the rename.  I need to rename each file a certain way.  If I receive four attachments form a company called 'R&L Carriers', I need to name the file as: R&L Carriers_1.xlsx,R&L Carriers_2.xlsx,R&L Carriers_3.xlsx, and R&L Carriers_4.xlsx. And must of the time someone else from the same company send me email with multiple attachments.  Again, I need to bring it the same way as the example I describe above.

Is that make any difference?  I am getting the email from the Exchange server not from my outlook.

I've tried several things and nothing seems working.  I think I am about to give up.  The way I need this to be done seems to be complicated at the moment.

It shouldn't make any difference if you are getting it from the server or from a user's mailbox.

I do phone calls, but that crosses over into paid consulting.  If you would like that my rates are $125 per hour billed at a minimum of 1/2 hour.

In my name I renamed the files based on the user who sent them because that is easy to get from the From: field of the email.  How are you deciding that someone from R&L Carriers sent the files so you can rename them to that?

Ok, let me make it clear for you and sorry if I did not take my time to explain.  I have a client name Five Below and Five Below have a lot of merchandises that need to be distributed all other U.S and he needs someone that have truck to do that.  We have a bunch of 'Carriers' that have truck.  For example, I have R&L Carriers, AV Logistics, Best Transportation, DSL Logistics, LLC, RCS Logistics, Inc etc.  So, I create an email address: Fivebelow.com and I instruct the carrier to send all the invoices to that email address.  So, by the domain of the carrier's email, I already who's carrier is this. I have a total of 19 carriers and they are sending email attachments in the one main email 'Fivebelow.com'.  When I login to that email address and I see all the emails by the domain, so I can tell where it came from.  And when I download all the attachments, they all going to be on one folder with the correct naming convention.

by their email address.  for example, JohnRobert@RLCarriers.com sent me 4 attachments and JohnSmith@BestTransportation.com sent me 3 attachments and let say someone else LynneHuck@AVLogistics.com sent me 2 attachments, and JoannaTonne@RCSLogitics.com sent me 1 attachment.  I need to rename the file from John Robert as RLCarriers_1 thru RLCarriers_4.xlsx, so that way I get the correct file from John Robert and rename properly.  Otherwise, I would I know which file came who after I download into that folder?  When I do it manually, I download each file, then drag the file into the folder, and then rename the file and which I already know where it came from.  I Repeat the same procedure for the second file, if I have more than one file.

So far, that's the only thing that work when I did it that way.  I know there's a better way to do it, but I cannot figure it out.
