Please I need help with the fields in the dataverse table appearing as text rather than a combo box. This means there is no dropdown menu to choose options from. Thank you!

Hi @Geno ,
No problem.
First select the form and then click on Fields in the property pane on the right. After you found the field you wish to change, under Control type, select Allowed values:
Please ignore the identifiers in the above screenshot since they do not relate to the Power Up challenge.
After you made the change, unlock the DataCard by selecting it, going to the Advanced tab in the properties pane and selecting Unlock to change properties:
When you have unlocked the DataCard, select the dropdown control inside it and set its' Items property to the name of you Animals table. Under the Advanced tab in the properties pane you may have to set the Value property (under Items) to display the Animal Name column.
Now you have ended up with a field in your form where you can select an animal from all of the available animals in the Animals table.

Hi @Geno ,
Can you please share which columns you are talking about and confirm their type (text, choice, lookup, etc.)?
Hi @Geno ,
Please change the type of column for the Animal names to (Single line of) Text, rather than Text area to prevent issues down the line.
As I understand you would like to have a combo box from where users can select the names of the animals. Should this be in the context of a form?
Yes, that is correct. During the tutorials, there was the option of being able to choose a book for loan from a dropdown menu of the list of available books. I am unable to recreate that so that and I'm lost as to what could be the problem.
