Hello,
I am having an issue on viewing most of my data on my Detail/Edit screen.
It does write back after I submit it, just not able to see the data after submitted.
Let me know if you need other info to better understand the issue.
EditForm:
DataSource: SQL Table
OnSuccess: Back() [But doesn't go back to the detail screen - would probably have to add navigate]
Item: BrowseGallery1.Selected
Save Button: Save icon (SubmitForm(EditForm1)
DetailForm:
DataSource: SQL Table
Item: BrowseGallery1.Selected
DataCard:
a01b - Text: Partent.Default (Shows data)
a02b - Text: Parent.Default (doesn't show data) - also tried DataCardValue12.Text (still doesn't show data)
Thanks,
Jvang

Okay...then narrowing in on things here.
Clarify if this is true:
When you are in edit mode on the form and you enter a value in a02b, when you submit the form, the value appears correctly in the data table and when you return to the gallery and select the SAME record, the form then shows no, or incorrect value in the a02b field.
Is that correct?
If so, then, again, focusing on the a02b column, add a label to your gallery and set the text property to: ThisItem.a02b
Now, observe the label value. When you first see it in the Gallery, it should show the current value. When you click on the item and then edit the record and change the a02b column in the form and then Submit the form, when you return to the gallery, it should NOW show the new value in that label.
Let me know if you see differently.
@Anonymous
Change the OnSelect of the BrowseGallery1 icon or button or however you are selecting the item to ADD the following formula:
Set(glbCurrentRecord, ThisItem)
Then Set the Item property of all of your forms to glbCurrentRecord
In the OnSuccess of your EditForm1 ADD the following:
Set(glbCurrentRecord, Self.LastSubmit)
As for the Back() in your OnSuccess...if the screen that brings you to the Edit screen is the detail screen, then Back() should do what you need. If not, then you are getting to that screen some other way which should be looked at.
I hope this is helpful for you.
It did show all the current records after submit; however, when navigating back to it again or refreshing the page, the DataScreen goes back to the same and wont show the rest of the records.
Thanks,
Jvang
@Anonymous
How did you get to that screen and what was the formula that took you there?
I am going from an arrow icon from the BrowseGallery
OnSelect: Set(glbCurrentRecord, ThisItem); Navigate(DetailScreen1)
Thanks,
Jvang
@Anonymous
Okay...that is all good. If that is how you getting to the screen and the Item property of the form is set to glbCurrentRecord, then you should be seeing the data that is in the record.
So from your message #3, can you explain what you mean by "refresh" and going back to that PN. What steps are all involved in that in your app?
After submitting a record it shows all the records, but when I click on the back arrow icon [OnSelect: Navigate(BrowseScreen1, ScreenTransition.None)] back to the BrowseGalleryScreen and then click the PartNumber arrow to navigate back to that PartNumber detail screen, some of the data that was visible after submitting goes missing.
As to refresh, I am just refreshing the web browser after the saving file.
Thanks,
Jvang
@Anonymous
I would take refreshing the browser out of the process for the time being and you don't really want to be doing that on your app to begin with.
What is the Items property of the Gallery on your browse screen?
BrowseGallery:
Item: SortByColumns(Search([@'[dbo].[bincount]'], TextSearchBox1.Text, "PartNumber","a01b","a02a"), "PartNumber", If(SortDescending1, Descending, Ascending))
Thanks,
Jvang
@Anonymous
Is bincount the name of the SQL table, or is it a view in SQL?
